Ancient turtles used to be able to fly, but that was back before they figured out muscles and skin, which obviously weighed them down too much.
They were also known for farting fire (for thrust?) as you can see in this ancient limed granite petroglyph.
Modern, nonflying turtles come in bite-sized versions. Here is one being proffered by a young man in this sterile food-preparation area.

A phone of the first model to make a transcontinental call, which was originally made from Jekyll Island, Georgia. Kept in a weird little Lucite® box to trap all the wonderful humidity in. There was about two inches of water in the bottom of the box, and at no time during the day did the moisture clear up off the insides of the box.
