among other scribbles, i'd written hurriedly,
if you do something absolutely convincingly, people will just accept it.
i feel like i was an entirely different person than the girl i was 1 year ago when i wrote those things down.
when i sat.
and listened.
and was inspired.
for so long,
inspiration has been just beyond my grasp.
hope just out of reach.
finding this scrap of paper i'd picked up at a conservatory, with descriptions of concertos and solos and violins on the reverse side...
part of me lept. and remembered.
i want to be like that again.

i feel like for the past 48 hours ive been on one of those tilt-a-whirl
rides
you know, where you spin, spin, spin
a lose track of up, down, left, right
and everythings just in a blur.
when i was a kid there was one of those rides at a theme park near my house
a 50's themed one
where stagger lee and the twist blasted
incessantly
while you twirled around.
these pics from a diner at a casino (of all places)
are making me think of that
of the tilt a whirl
of spinning
and remembering how to stop and get off the ride.
