Thanks for the comments everyone.sorry for the delay in responding, have been on the road for the past few days.RM last night I saw the Milky Way,but it was partially obstructed by the trees. One of the main issues over here is the usage of sodium mercury street lights and those on the docks are the strongest because the light tend to leak way down to where the boat is located and even further. The other issue is the bad elements which lurk in the shadows.
I bet Xalieri could write a whole story on just your words 'the bad elements which lurk in the shadows'
If we're talking about the Milky Way, the Mayans possibly beat me to it, referring to the shadowed rift/dust-lane that cuts through the Milky Way as an incarnation of the road to Xibalba, the Place of Fear... but I wonder if "bad elements" aren't just ordinary elements with bad press. :)
