The line that used to take me home. Know it well. Is that Charing Cross I spy?

Thanks guys! I am aware it is called the misery line but to me it will always mean home. I was born in Balham and lived most of my life with either Tooting Broadway, Tooting Bec or Balham as my local stations. The sophistication of the District Line and then this place which has a scant bus service only came much later in my life.

Yes, I believe it was Charing Cross. We had been wandering around Covent Garden, Soho, China Town and Trafalgar Square all afternoon and were foot sore and couldn't face the walk back to Waterloo.

The worst thing about the Northern Line IMNSHO is no matter how short the journey you will still be blowing black stuff out of your nose for a week. Ah... London!
