Having 'tweeted' for a while now, I came across the skipper of narrowboat 'whisper' who moors on the Lower Peak Forest Canal. So in the time honoured tradition of making new friends I invited Shaun to the boat while we were in dry dock. There we properly introduced ourselves and arranged to meet again, with his wife Sue, aboard their boat at Droylsden Marina where we were to moor over the Easter Weekend.

Suffice to say, we have all become good friends and look forward to hopefully meeting again sooner rather than later.

Hi Bill
Hope you remember us, we first met you at Haigh Hall on the L & L, then on the Trent and Mersey when we had a hire boat , then lastly when we was walking down the llangollen whilst awaiting the build of our own nb Lottie D. We keep tabs on your whereabouts from your blog in the hope our paths may cross again.. We are still just weekend and holidays aboard our nb which we have now had for nearly 2 years, but in 2 years time we hope to retire and turn into CC and sell up to enjoy full life afloat.
Hope all is well eith you all and that Gunner is keeping you fit.. If we see you are in the area we will try to catch up with you either on foot or on the boat.. take care for now

Hi Elaine/Jim,

We certainly do remember you both and often wonder how your life is unfolding as you move towards retirement.

We're currently moored just outside of Worsley on the Leigh Branch of the Bridgewater Canal, heading for Liverpool. We're booked into Salthouse moorings for a week beginning 25 April.

If you're of a mind to, you're more than welcome to come visit between now and then.

Email me your mobile telephone number and we can maybe arrange a meet somewhere.
