"And as you cross the circle line,
Well the ice wall creaks behind
You're a rabbit on the run.
And the silver splinters fly
In the corner of your eye,
Shining in the setting sun.
Well do you ever get the feeling
That the story's too damn real
And in the present tense.
Or that everbody's on the stage
And it seems like you're the only
Person sitting in the audience

Skating away, skating away, skating away On the thin ice of the new day"

We decided to get a little fake tree this year and got a bargain, two little fake trees for the price of one. More to decorate!

First, ribbon instead of tinsel. Second, sculpting* cephalopods. When they are dry, the painting will commence.

Then, hanging stuff all over the trees. Fun all the way around.

*A sculptor I most definitely am not. Rick did the squid & octopus.

Really like the cephalopods. Nifty idea.

We're thinking of buying an artificial tree this year too though may get some argument from the kids.

Thanks, Taniwha! Good luck on getting a fake tree, I do think it's best all around if you're going to have one at all. :)

Thanks, Crickson! Today, I paint!

Much fun, Viv. Thank you. :)

Dania, yes, yay! I've wanted to do cephalopods for a while. There's also the obligatory sock monkey among the presents for Happy Monkey. :D

Thanks, Gael! Oh, I loved the look of the Ood...hmmm. I wish I was better at sculpting.
