"And as you cross the circle line,
Well the ice wall creaks behind
You're a rabbit on the run.
And the silver splinters fly
In the corner of your eye,
Shining in the setting sun.
Well do you ever get the feeling
That the story's too damn real
And in the present tense.
Or that everbody's on the stage
And it seems like you're the only
Person sitting in the audience
Skating away, skating away, skating away
On the thin ice of the new day"

Thanks, Rick. It took me a long time to get those butterfly shots. Only one wasp, over at the schoolyard. Those guys make me seriously nervous nowadays, last year, they took to getting in my clothes. Happened four effing times last year, the last one was down my back. I managed to get my dress off without agitating it, but I wanted to scream my head off.
all of my hibernating butterflies didn't make it this year....winter was just a little too long I suppose......lovely to see these creatures enjoying the sun :-)
* Edit....I like seeing the wasps in photos...but have a fear of them, and really wouldn't want any in my clothes !!!! eeeek
Paintist, oh no! I'm so sorry to hear that. Everyone had a bitter winter. I rarely see butterflies so brightly coloured, so I spent a lot of time tracking this one. We don't even have leaves on the trees yet, let alone flowers, I don't know what it's finding to feed on.
Wasps fascinate me, I think they are extraordinarily beautiful, but they scare the hell out of me. I'm allergic too, which doesn't help. They usually leave me alone during the summer, but in late autumn, they get cold, I guess, and I find them down my clothes. They never bother Rick. Makes me a little annoyed, that.
Lovely, the butterfly looks so proud.
How big is that wasp? Because my imagination is telling me it's the size of a fist...
Hahahaha, no, Wendle, not even close. Normal wasp size, I suppose. I've never tried to measure one. :D Thank you.
