Can you tell who it is yet?
Except that this one, in a small seaside town is brilliant. It's partly because they stopped adding to their collection sometime in the 80s and so it's a time capsule of fading or enduring celebrity. It's also brilliant because they set up this tension between how the celebrity should look and how they are rendered in wax - as something vaguely resembling the person in question. Check out the Hitler waxwork who looks like a drunk impersonating the Fuhrer at a Fancy Dress Party. The Beatles look like ... well actual creepy crawly beatles.
Can you guess who the others are?

They are great, like they have melted with time. The bottom one,is it Joanna Lumley?But why is she half naked? The wardrobe budget must have run out of funds!

Thanks Taroma. You're right. They do look fairly time worn. They even look tired.
It's not Joanna Lumley and there's a pretty good reason why she is half naked - that's how she makes her living.

Well done with the group shot, Joker. Patton looks pretty wimpy - can't imagine him slapping anyone and Hitler seems to be saying 'My sun flowers only grow this high'.
And yep, that's QE2. It could be someone else who has nicked her clothes.
But it ain't Lumley - why would be in her knickers?

Yep - that's Boy George. Those are knuckle dusters on a strong around his neck ... no, I didn't know either.
The coupe were the Golden Pair in the 80's. Gone their separate ways now though.

540 and R - yeah, Sam Fox looks like someone else and R was close with Traci Lords 'cept that in the UK I think that a porn actress in a waxworks museum would be seen as a bit wrong. Page three girls are another matter - they have a weird kind of respectability here.
