not dead...just sleeping (lol, even without his feet nailed to his perch) he had just enjoyed a lovely sip of nectar from a spoon and went off to have a doze..didnt like the flash very much, gave me the evil eye :-)

Had no idea there was such a variety of stock in a butterfly house, is that a heat lamp above the lizard?

I am sure it is a heat lamp, perhaps for the night time? There were three iguanas in this butterfly house, they all seemed to favour the the overhead beams as resting places, perhaps their territory was dictated by the placing of the lamps.
It was so humid in there that most of the photos I took were foggy

the parrots colours are amazing! the butterflies wings are crazy I can't look away....it keeps staring at me.

i think i may have nightmares... but in a good way :)
