I like this. There is something almost pasted in about her, kinda ghostly.
To me, she is sad, not because where she is but because of the worn face and the effervescent pigtails. A closeup would have done me in.
thanks t. you're not far wrong either. she was very dark from the shadows so i lightened her up to show her features a little more.
interesting D? hehe.
i thought of cropping a closeup of her face, sr, and you're right, she does look sad in it.
yes, quite apart from the cardboard cut-out appearance, although it's clearly a warm day she is hunched over herself, she is choosing the cool shade over the warming sun, appears to be waiting for someone to come out of the supermarket, doesn't look happy and appears oblivious of the fact that you are photographing her. So... interesting
she does look like a cardboard cut out.
she appeared to be waiting for someone but i don't think she actually was. she never sat still, and moved about a lot, so it was difficult to get this.
i lightened her up so much because i thought it might be interesting to have her look like she stepped over to the dark side from the light side of the frame.
That's good. She almost looks threatened by those funny pillars. I like the way the vans close off the space, quite eerie too.
