great stuff!...I'm considering doing the same, that or getting a cheaper car...erm...maybe not.
your legs might cramp up on that though, man. wasn't it uncomfortable over a distance?
cycling to work is a great way to start the day... unless you're wearing a suit.
don't fancy a brompton then? How much actual mileage would you have to cycle each day?
i ride my bmx to the train station every morning not far just a 20min ride, i love it its great, wakes me up and all that, also means i have to ride it home and not get a taxi. lol
So far I'm only going to be riding a short distance at each end of a train ride, between 5 and 10 minutes at either end, so the BMX is fine for that. I am planning to get a mountain bike (something I never thought I'd do) through the "ride to work" scheme and then I'll be doing about 15 miles a day.
ooh, getting big wheels is it? specialized rockhopper would be my mtb of choice but you might be better with a hybrid for commuting - there are some very nice ridgebacks...
I'm thinking about something like perhaps a Scott Voltage or something like that. Fairly light so I can fling it about a bit, but still rideable over distances. Any suggestions? I'm leaning more towards a hard tail rather than full suspension.
