its a rather tasty whiskey called monkey shoulder, I have been trying the 'three hats' theory on my cold, but it hasn't worked as yet.....

whisky always works for me, and if it doesn't I just get too medicinal to care!
the idea is when you have a cold you should go to bed, put your hat on the bedpost and drink enough whiskey to make you see three hats on the bedpost....then you can go to sleep knowing your cold will be cured.......lol
I wish I had known about this theory when I had a miserable cold earlier in the fall :) My mother used to recommend a cough syrup made from vodka and fresh lemon juice, mixed with enough honey to make it a syrupy consistency....
that remedy sounds too delicious to save just for colds.....yum :-)
