If you can bear the idea, some dance kit might work for you as well. There's a lot less shiny in gentleman's ballet outfitting these days but a fair deal of lycra.
Neat. I've been using Helly for a few years now - pretty good stuff IMHO, lasts. AND has arm stripes, which has got to be worth something.
Funny, I just bought a Helly Lifa Crew base layer :-). It's getting cold on the bike in the mornings.
But if it was polyester you could give everyone static shocks! Electricboy! or Mr Van de Graff!
I once spent some time at (what was then) the biggest truck stop in the US. They had polyester carpet, and I had rubber-soled shoes. I found that if I dragged my feet a bit, I could dispense electricity via my finger to anyone/thing I wanted.
So much fun.
