"She'll either blow us up or rub soup in our hair, it's a toss-up"
wtf
Freaky!
Oh, hey, I like that.
Ace!
1000% Awesome. It's very rare I say this about a pair of shoes, but: WANT!
When do socks become shoes? Are these for tree climbing?
Yoga socks, I've seen them in a yoga catalogue. They're to help increase your foot grip on a yoga mat, or else to wear if you tend to have cold feet to give you the extra warmth without reducing your ability to flex your feet and toes, which is important in yoga. They have a tough enough sole that you can wear them around outside - good for those who prefer do practice outside.
These particular ones are designed (apparently) for running, sailing and other outdoorsy sports. See: Vibram FiveFingers
I'm currently trying to work out whether I can afford a pair*. I don't run, or really do any outdoors sports (not through lack of wanting to - I did used to, pre-rsi!). But I do like to look like I do, and I'm a big fan of close-fitting, skeletal footware.
* lie. I know I can't, especially with international shipping costs. what I mean is I'm trying to convince myself that my credit card won't melt down by buying some.
Oh, well done Mat on the find! I'm rather partial to these and may get myself some for yoga, as I could use the extra warmth with winter coming. I just wish they went large enough for Don, he would love them.
I typed "shoes with toes" into google. :)
I think my toes would get lonely...although they look really cool, thanks for finding the link, Mat!
Spiderbaby, I think for any type of sport or athletic activity where flexibility is extra necessary.
