Herby Progress, week 3.
Though I received a replacement pod from Aerogrow for the recalcitrant parsley, apparently the monster had been pushing the seeds around all week trying to get them to sprout properly and put roots *down* instead of up. His efforts paid off just two days ago (well after the prescribed sprouting window, so I don't feel badly about saying it was a dead pod.) and now at least one little parsley sprout is trying to make it up to the light. I will plant the garlic chives next go-round instead.

Thanks very much, though really the plants are doing the work. I just take photos of them on Tuesday mornings.

I didn't like it. I *really* didn't like it. Not everyone is meant to be a nature buff, just like not everyone likes to be in a city. That's why there's both places.
I've been to 42 states. Most of them are very rural. There's a reason I live here.

I've just trimmed the basil plants a litle bit. Granted it's just a few leaves but they're very fragrant (spicy smelling. It's nice.) and I will put them in something foodish today, I'm sure.

Have you had to water bottle the kitties yet to keep them off it? My cat-in-law Tabitha would loooove that - I keep her in cat grass so I don't have to listen to the MIL whine about her fresh flowers getting chewed.

No, not even a little bit. I think that though it's probably physically *possible* for them to get to this location? I'm not sure they can *see* the plants from the floor.
I DO keep having to water-bottle Buggy. He's eating my new curtains.

You're seriously making me want to grow my own herbs. I just know I'd kill them if the cat didn't eat them though.

I swear to you I've done precisely nothing but add water and tablets to the little box when the light blinks. Other than that? Nada. All I do is take photos of them on Tuesdays.
As happens I have a pretty green thumb anyway, but in this case you don't need one.

Such a lovely little thing. Wish I had the money to buy one. I'm not horrible with plants, I jsut would likely forget to water them.

Well as you can see in the top shot, I kinda had to, or I'd have had to have raised the lamps. I now have some lovely fresh basil sprigs, but not a lot to make them with.
