hehe. Cool. I just had some of them for lunch! That's the 8 hour falafel clock time difference for ya!
home made 'uns too?
In the thumb it looks like the Falafel is ganging up on a tomato
FF- homemade in the sense that I opened the packet of falafel mix at home, yes. I mixed it myself and made my own balls. :)
It's so cheap and so tasty out of the box that it's not worth the effort of finding (no doubt pricey) chickpea flour (and the rest) and making my own. I worked out the other day that, even considering we grow our own tomatos, falafel dinner for four costs less than three pounds, in total. No wonder I ate so much of it as a student...
i like very much the falafel....
my friend used to work at the falafel king in bristol, and she made the nicest coffee in town. mmmm, falafel....
I thought the thumbnail was an extremely small steak surrounded by loads of those herb-butter things they do with them.
;-)
Erm, I'm retarded, but what exactly does falafel consist of? They look tasty!
Chickpea flour, onions, herbs, some other stuff. Look out for boxes of falafel mix in the shops. I got these from Waitrose, 'cos Sainsburys have stopped selling them.
Serve fried, warm, in pitta bread with lettuce+tomato+dressing (or hot sauce!)
never tried a pre-mix - i will give them go
yum yum yum
i keep meaning to try that premix stuff, will give it a bash next time I'm in a supermarket...
got a box sitting in the cupboard waiting to be tested!
