Helen says:

Don't bother dropping it out of a third storey window (onto an empty street), they don't bounce.

28th Jun 2006, 20:28

you need more rubber bands to add to that and by the way if ya make em tight it will bounce hehehe the one i made ages ago did

28th Jun 2006, 21:21

FilbertFox says:

yep when they get big and tight they bounce

29th Jun 2006, 08:55

seaneeboy says:

Yeah, I've unwound it and rewrapped it dead tight. Nearly took out my light fitting. Fantatsic! Whee!

Hehe - It's like starting a scoobidou.

*Awaits google flood*

Only kidding. I started by wrapping a couple of times around my finger then wrapping it over itself - cos it's all rubber the friction kind of holds it together long enough to get a few good turns on.

It's easy to stop at the moment cos the final band will wrap around it, but if it gets much bigger I have no idea how to stop it.... It's outta control!

29th Jun 2006, 09:42

if you ever need more bands just look on the floor out side peoples houses! the red post office ones are every where you dont see them till you start looking!

29th Jun 2006, 09:44

seaneeboy says:

Yeah, might have a scavange along the street when I buy the paper today :)

They're quite good at picking them up along our way though. Perhaps they're making balls of their own...

Spike says:

i usually find started out rubber band balls around, i think people give up, thats why i assume they just ARE, no one actually starts them!

i may well start a paperclip ball!!............dangerous..much!

29th Jun 2006, 09:47

you cant use the red rubber bands that post men use as they are bio-degradable they break down after a while
