that does suck for you.! on the other hand thats quite good for me! ;)
I'm really suffering. Normally it makes good financial sense to write for US Magz but now...
i might get on to the importing thing now. dont really have much money for it at the mo now!
I never understood diz whole financial thingy,...
So why dous this suck?
BTW,... like yur new name.
The Amazingly Pissy Chemo Girl!!
**backs off**
And what about their lovely neighbours to the North? Im off there next week maybe I can pick up some goodies there...
no, changed my blog name for other reasons. This just adds to my annoyance with the universe at the moment.
But this specifically sucks because 55pounds is the cost of a year of paid moblog.
BadJon2 - 1 pound = 2.11 Canadian dollars. So yeah, it's like everything is on sale half off.
puddlepuff...it sucks for anyone in the US wanting to buy things abroad, especially from the UK as it'll cost them nearly twice as much in USDs than in GBP. The US economy is a bit of a mess atm and the USD isn't high in value compared to other currencies.
:-(
hang on a few weeks, or if you can a few months. Things should slowly sort themselves out by then
I still don't get it. Why would 2$ in the US be 1$ in England?
55.00 GBP United Kingdom Pounds
=
80.7893 EUR Euro
Uhmkee. What ever.
Because the US economy is a mess. Bad economy means bad exchange rate. The USD currently isn't worth jack.
Edit: Even the Euro is stronger than the USD currently.
Euro has been kicking $ ass for a while now :) What I have been told.
Just realised that his keyboard has a $ sign and no Euro sing,... and is pissed off bout that.
Well the USD and the Euro usually have approx the same exchange rate to the GBP, but that went to crap a couple years ago.
And most (british) keyboards don't have the € key actually.
Good luck with your chemo - if it's anything like Neutropenic Alex I know it will be tough.
But, as with Alex (he's a good friend of my son), you sound like a really strong, positive person.
Whaa,... Alt + 2 is http://moblog.co.uk/search.php on this page.
Thanks. I appreciate that very much, Joe. It's going well, though I am damn tired. I think about Alex a lot. He's got a hell of a lot more to deal with than I do. I guess that in the cancer roulette I got lucky.
I don't know what to say sweetheart, so...
*sends good thoughts and hugs your way*
No kidding! I just bought something from the UK and while it was still worth I still almost choked at the exchange...very sad story.
Wow looks like it pays to be british for a while. Hope the chemo is going well still, Why have you changed your moblog title matey it i still good though
It certainly doesn't pay to be American. I'm certainly embarassed most of the time to be associated with the crap we're pulling in the world.
Title changed because I'm stuck in a funk right now.
*oodles of hugs and squeezes* winging their way to ..'Pissy Chemo Girl in a Funk'....thats quite an address :-)
I know that your's and Factotum's packages are waiting at the PO for me, but I haven't been able to get there. I *know* I can get there on Sat, though. *sigh* Love you, hon.
This makes me want to put all my retirement savings in a swiss account. Ath this rate, by the time I can actually retire, I will owe money...
Maybe Greg and I should look into moving out of the country. Again... :(
