I'd never really thought it was ultra-modern, but six months of commuting on the London Underground kinda shows up a few faults. Like the rather dingy nature of the carriages, the fact that they're not really very clean (and have random stickers of naked people in them.)
Also, both going out and coming back yesterday, I had to give a carriage door a bit of manual encouragement to close properly.
I think it says something about this country when your first welcome into a town is from Tesco.
(I'm not going to Stafford, incidentally)

Plantpots don't tend to move that much though, do they?
because of engineering work on the Central Line today, I had to take a
different way home - which gave me a few new photos opportunities
