bringing you the London Marathon
I spent the day down at Tower Bridge helping set up a tiny corner of the London Marathon outside broadcast. They've got a total of 35 cameras, six bikes, two helicopters and an overhead circling plane.
They did let me get my hands on a camera and go for a wander along the bridge just to see how far the signal reached...

The two monitors to the left are part of someone else's project, and cluttering things up a bit - there's also a big bunch of junk on the far end of the desk. No natural light, either. And it's a bit on the cramped side.

I had my lunch outside in the sunshine today, and think I may have ended up
in the background for something they were shooting just outside reception.
I've got no idea what it was for, but it appeared to be a pretty blonde girl
