I spent the day down at Tower Bridge helping set up a tiny corner of the London Marathon outside broadcast. They've got a total of
35 cameras, six bikes, two helicopters and an overhead circling plane.
They did let me get my hands on a camera and go for a wander along the bridge just to see how far the signal reached...
So that's how they do it...
The two monitors to the left are part of someone else's project, and cluttering things up a bit - there's also a big bunch of junk on the far end of the desk. No natural light, either. And it's a bit on the cramped side.
Comfy chair, though.
I had my lunch outside in the sunshine today, and think I may have ended up
in the background for something they were shooting just outside reception.
I've got no idea what it was for, but it appeared to be a pretty blonde girl
chatting with one David Tennant...
