Grumpy undertone. Preparations and loose ends. Feels like autumn but what beauty!

Them stones

Hanging around the British museum. It's a remarkable building but what I like most is inside - it's a museum that isn't afraid to be a bit dusty, with static displays and glass cases. Wonderful place. In fact, every now and then I do miss working in London and one thing I miss a lot is that I can't nip into the museum in my lunch time to feed the soul.

London Baby!

A is studying Ancient Egypt. G is studying life in Athens and had homework due on Monday. So I thought it would be cool to go down to the British Museum to have a look at some of the stuff close up. On the way back, we bumped into Superman.

Night off - shopping

(viewed 571 times)
Pretty intense few days leaving me with a sore neck and arms. Decided to spend an evening away from PhD stuff and go and find a new pair of trainers and maybe a jacket for my trip away next week. No luck but the empty Thursday night mall leaves me feeling like I'm in a VIP shopping programme.

Meet the humans

We observed the birth of an alien under the Midsummer Boulevard tree this afternoon.

Muster

(viewed 633 times)
We went on a community muster today. Basically, it was a group walk across the town's common land which meant a walk across a featureless field for two hours.
