Surely it's the curse of the modern world that so many people now work at a computer while the compter also provides the biggest distraction from work ever devised ... (Dave Gorman)

Southbank

(viewed 632 times)
A. and I took in the Munch exhibition at the Tate, strolled along the Southbank to watch the street performers and bussed it to Hamley's to see the demos.

Munch was okay - a shame the Scream wasn't in the show.

As the world tipped

(viewed 584 times)
Saw Wired Aerial Theatre's As the World Tipped. It was about the failure of Copenhagen climate change conference in 2009 and the end of the world. The stage was initially horizontal and then tipped, spilling all the props off until it was vertical and became a screen. They projected images of the world's destruction while people performed on wires in front of it. Great sense of precariousness. Very thrilling but it was a little too po-faced and repetitive for my liking.
