Although a wonderful idea and something I'm very glad people are doing, I found it to be a colossal waste of time. 3 hour drive to get there. 15 minute in a que of cars to get into the park and ride. Excellent bus service. Then a 15 minute que to pay entrance fee (13 pounds), 5 minute que to get in through the doors, 8 minute que to get a bottle of water and a packet of cheesey crisps. The rest of the place was ok, all the outdoors gardeny stuff with the stage etc (to be posted soon), but then when we tried to get into the main dome it was nothing but a very long que all the way round. All you could see was the bloke in front of you and all you could hear was disappointed children wanting to see animals or have a play. As for the point behind the project, I don't think it was very inspiring - we actually to search out a board telling us how its all super "green" compost they imported and frankly, I've forgotten the rest, so it didn't make much of an impression.
At least it only
rained when we were inside the dome.
We went mountain boarding for shits and giggles. It cost £12 for an hour including a quick lesson in the basics of turning and stopping.
To be honest, anhour was plenty of time. We got the hang of it very quickly and found that we were soon going over the bumps with enough speed to be just a tiny, tiny bit off the ground! But the next stage from there is "grabbing air, dude" and seeing what you can and can't do on the board, and therein lies PAIN! And I've already got too many bits of sporting equipment lying around the house...
These people are not us! Photo taken before we handed in all our breakables!

A quick bite t eat then onto the drinking! This bar wouldn't allow me to order a bowl of chips and cheese from the menu unless I ordered something else! Its only allowed as a side-dish apparently and they were being very literal. The big poopers.
