"Nature's first green is gold,
Her hardest hue to hold.
Her early leaf's a flower;
But only so an hour.
Then leaf subsides to leaf.
So Eden sank to grief,
Dawn goes down to day.
Nothing gold can stay."
-Robert Frost

(viewed 7659 times)
The beginnings of my Christmas decorations -- some groovy blue stars, and
one of our neighbour's lights.

*Sigh of despair* -- Someone has made a greeting card for going to the loo!
Only in America!

Corporate silliness

(viewed 1243 times)
We got some of the proofs back today for our company's Holiday Card. There hasn't been a final decision yet on which one to use, but it's usually the one where I'm looking my silliest.

Let there be lights

(viewed 880 times)
It's started already and it's still November! We went for just a short walk
this evening and found these illuminated houses. There's a holiday lights
competition run by the city each year so I suppose they're getting an early
start.

Seeing blue

This is one of the many ornaments adorning my kitchen window -- a blue glass
suncatcher from Massachusetts.

Stick it!

One sure way to keep the crazy one happy while we're sitting outside -- give
him a branch to chew on!

Parallel Universe

(viewed 1025 times)
Today we all sat outside while the nephew practiced his parallel parking. He
did pretty good, but the best attempt was directly after I suggested to his
uncle that he showed him how it's done. Hmmm, funny how a bit of competitive
spirit helps! Good job Nick!
