"Nature's first green is gold,
Her hardest hue to hold.
Her early leaf's a flower;
But only so an hour.
Then leaf subsides to leaf.
So Eden sank to grief,
Dawn goes down to day.
Nothing gold can stay."

We went for a meal at Texas Roadhouse Saturday night, where they serve beer
in a boot and encourage you to throw peanut shells on the floor! Our niece
works there so we got to jump the one hour queue, but then she told the
staff it was my birthday (it wasn't), so I had to sit on a saddle while the
ENTIRE restaurant gave me a big "yee-haa"! Very embarrassing, but at least
she told them I was 21!

Last night it was cool enough to sit outside and enjoy the evening.

We live near an old race course where they now train horses, and last year
they put these rather cool sculptures up. The wooden bridge in the distance
is used to walk the horses back and forth between the track and the stables.
The husband's shoulder. Not quite how I designed it, but pretty close and he
likes it.

The husband got his ink on last night. They wouldn't let me take video or
use a flash, but I did get a few shots. More to come on
his moblog...

From surf boy to punk: My niece decided her boyfriend needed a mowhawk the
other day. When the deed was done they went and got his ears pierced too!

My Dad just found this photo of my playgroup's Christmas party. 'Twas 1975 I
think, and yes, I'm so old it was actually taken in black and white!
