Sean's Big 08/09 catch up (Part the second)

In the run up to Christmas...

1) It snowed... a lot... that white on this woman from the bus's back is her hair, covered in snow...
2) The city square looked nice though, but I was on my way to London for the day and it was all gone by the time...
3) I got back to Leeds and it was Jo's birthday, so we went to the german markets for BEER!
4) Mmmm... beeer....

...

but I digress. Back to the snow, and

5) The chickens loved it...
6) Or at least I think they did.
7) We played a great gig supporting Albert Ross and the Otters, (this pic was courtesy of the fantastic Danielle Casey, who'll be taking some more of us at our next gig...) which even mr Len Corby made it up to see. Sadly I was too busy playing/drinking to take any pics.

Next, Christmas and new year!

Sean's Big 08/09 catch up (Part the first)

Hello,

Yes, I know, I'm rubbish.

Look! I'm still here! Promise! Sorry for disappearing on you like that. I've been up to loads of stuff since I was last here, so here's a brief run down of the stuff I've been up to in the past couple of months.

1) Eating mince pies (mmm...)
2) dining at Brasserie Blanc (mmmmm...)
3) growing so much hair the 70's called and asked for it back
4) getting horribly delayed on the way to...
5) The Association of Colleges annual conference, at which I had epic FAIL at blagging from the stalls. they had ipods, booker prize winning books... I got a bar of chocolate. fun size too. ouch...
6) The lunch was good though (man, I really *do* blog a lot about food...)
7) I ate some wagamamas (which I enjoyed more than expected - I've been a tampopo man for a while...) before...
8) Playing a gig at the New Roscoe with March of Dimes...

More to come, but your brucie bonus is a wee video of us playing Cracks in the Floor at the aforementioned March of Dimes gig:

I was tempted to make the title "Mucky birds take a bath" to see if that made google go crazy, but thought better of it!

Gary Stewart & March of Dimes

Last night we played a wee gig in Oporto, Leeds - Gary Stewart was nice enough to put us on as part of his great "Gaslight Club" night he runs every Monday.

It was odd to play such a stripped back set, but great fun too!

Peppers

(viewed 293 times)
We have had a pretty lacklustre year with the veg, the tomatoes were especially disappointing...

Anyway, we harvested all the sweet peppers yesterday, and they've done OK... they're the success of the year, and are well tasty! And the leftover plants are fed to the chooks!

Circus acts in Victoria Quarter

(viewed 427 times)
In order to get lots of people into the expensive shops, they put on a bit of a circus show in Victoria Quarter last night - and it seemed to work, the place was rammed! Credit crunch? What credit crunch?
