Well, it could have been a lot worse. There were a lot of heavy, unsecured objects in the backseat, it was a good thing the crash barrier was there... Otherwise the car might have flipped over, even though I really wasn't driving too fast.

Nope, just my car vs. the crash barrier. Clearly, the crash barrier won.

glad you two are ok, have done something similar also, lost a wing mirror but without the barrier it could've been a lot worse.
