This will mean little to non-cyclists, but I decided on my 49th
birthday that I'd like to spend a part of this year building myself a
bike from the ground up, wheels and everything. Towards that end I was
bought a wheel jig for my birthday, and I was lucky enough to spot
this pair of titanium-axled hubs at half-price in a sale (only cost an
arm, I saved the leg). Rest assured that my dream machine doesn't
consist entirely of insanely expensive components. Not entirely...

This is how Nigel's campsite looks today - a much bigger tent (I was
going to loan him our family tent but someone got there first) and a
portaloo. This photo is taken from just outside the pub, so as you can
see he doesn't have far to go for refreshment! A Facebook event has
been planned for Saturday noontime for his supporters to gather around
the roundabout (but not on it or the council can evict him). This
seems like too good a good photo opportunity to miss!

my new gogs are almost invisible and don't weigh anything. Oh, and I
can see through them, which is nice!
