seems like all i post these days are "fun with movies", so here's a
change...
another easy one. slightly harder than last time though.
easy one. love love love this film.
not sure how many people have seen this one, but the Cinephiles certainly have, and moblog has plenty of those. this is not obscure.
considering some of the flicks that have passed through here, this
benchmark 50th should prove no problemo.
went to see the permanent exhibition at County Hall last week. no major works there, but without exception the most impressive collection of his sculptures i've ever seen. they were the real treat, along with the furniture collection, and the huge Spellbound painting that he created at Hitchcock's behest for the now-famous movie.
shame the whole thing was so obviously used as a vehicle to shift Dali's expensive and not-so-limited edition lithographs. they were amazing though, and it made me realise just how many influences he had, as well as the sheer volume of work that the maestro actually produced. the many, many pieces can be forgiven though, and as his quote suggests:
"Those who do not want to imitate anything, produce nothing".
another all-time fave of mine. i defy anyone to get this, but i'm positive quite a few people have watched it.
nobody is getting this one, ya hear me? nobody.
