fresh-from-the-garden rhubarb puree with rhubarb and ginger butter and fresh mint. fruit butter is like jam, but made with pureed fruit. this one is thick and dark and rich and sweet and sticky and heavy and delicious. I rock the kitchen.

Xgl + Compiz = Linux desktop grooviness.Rubbish video of a few of the cool effects, including bouncy windows/menus and expose-a-like feature.

Aqua-style dock, proper transparancy, 3D cubey-desktop spinny thing and more also available. Up yours, Macs! :)

new ubuntu release is rather tasty.

that's me, browsing the web in a full-featured desktop environment while the progress bar down in the foreground formats partitions, installs and configures the system, etc. I did the 'expert' install, which asks you seven questions rather than five.

the whole process took about 15 minutes.
