Got some photos back from my new Pentax. Had accident with the film and lost quite a few photos, but this was the highlight of the (sadly short) reel. Lost quite a lot of resolution during resizing, the print has about twice as many visible stars..
Gift from the knife guy yesterday.
OK, I wanted the utterly deadly-sharp white ceramic Kasumi Cooks knife. But that one is sharpened Deba-style (flat on one side, therefore right-handed and unusable by the more sinister of us) so I couldn't have that unless I wanted to pay for one to be custom-ground in Japan and shipped over.
This is the next best thing - a black 18cm Sandoku knife, formed from ultra-hard moly-steel, sheathed in titanium, weighs almost as little as the ceramic and still sharp enough to cut light. It will kick your ass into very thin slices.
No-one makes a knife like the Japanese make a knife.
