This chair is great. It has been in the cupboard for years because there
hasn't been room for it, but since our rearrangements we found some
space. I haven't been sleeping much during night time for about a week
now due to sweltering heat and murderous hayfever. Managed to grab an
hour in front of the cricket just now. Woke up with my feet in the air
and my head full of blood, but damn my back feels great!

Venus transit
Didn't think any of the pictures I took came out until I looked at them
again this morning. Slept in the garden under an umberalla for most of
the transit having been up all night working. Woke up periodically to
peer at a small dot on a white disk. Not very exciting, but cool beyond
words.

new look living room
The living room in no.4 has been lying empty since Lisa moved out a couple of
months ago. Norm and I sorted it out yesterday, and found a proper home for my
vinyl collection and turntable. Happy days! Notice Helen's new bureau, it's
very old and smells wonderful.
