Dear Inexpensive But Terribly Sentimental Necklace :

It has been long since we've spoke; you were misplaced during my relocation process. Only yesterday did I find you and embrace your sterling delicateness. Today when I leaned over and dropped you (though, a part of me believes you should have tangled in my hair or some-such) down the heating vent (that's idiotically in the floor, rather than the wall) you brought me to tears.

I removed the vent cover and immediately jammed my fingers through the small crevasse. After a good time was spent trying to negotiate you from the vent, I began to cry. You're two separate parts; both so important to me: the James Avery chain my Mom bought me for my 29th birthday which was quite a surprise, and the small heart shaped pendant which is one of the only two jewel-type gifts I retained from my recently failed marriage. I just could not bear the thought of losing you.

There were tongs, forks, tweezers, a straw, and ultimately a knife wrapped with bubble gum --- that liberated you from the vent, all of these things I used. They say, in the end, all that you love will be carried away. However, you are now gracing the back of my copy of Napoleon Dynamite (I got that in the divorce!) and there you shall sit while I admire you a bit more. I vow not leave you in the bottom of my favorite summer-time handbag ever, ever again.

red barn

(viewed 1204 times)
I've been meaning to Moblog this for awhile now. I had my door open while cleaning today - so I could enjoy how cold it is out, man, it's nice.

This is the red barn adjacent to the apartment and these're the horses. There seems to be 4 or 5 of them and a very nice lady who's always out there grooming, feeding or singing to them. They're very friendly. Such a nice view though, from my window - very countryish right in the middle of the city.

Love it.

eggs.

(viewed 701 times)
Recently I read this amazing book, Everything I Ate by Tucker Shaw. As part of my diet and mostly out of curiosity I've started photographing (nearly!) every meal I'm eating. I began on October 1 taking the photos. I'm quite surprised sometimes when I look back at everything, I'm pretty much sticking to my diet and everything -- but -- ah well, it's a WIP.

This is one of my favorite morning meals, 3 eggs cracked in a bowl with a bit of cheese and pepper, 2 minutes in the microwave. Too bad I'm eating breakfast at 12.30 pm. Haha!
