Bad photo by me, but that's her in the middle!
Jbar gave a present to Nodda and to me! It was for my birthday a couple of weeks ago.
This impressive box contained hair products (of course!) and some T2 tea (t2.com.au).
A soon as she had placed her, order, Jbar put her napkin in the 'fucking feed me' position!
We are at Nodda's birthday dinner at Anatolia's Turkish Restaurant.
The re-roofing took 3 days.
On the night of the second day, we had a FREAKISH storm. High winds, and more rain than we had seen for a very long time. Big, hard, chubby rain.
And of course, the roofers had not put in the roof's centre cap. As a result, we had a water feature in the loungeroom. And this water feature was not particularly relaxing. A constant stream of water through the ceiling, via a little hole in the plaster.
Sheets of water came down the windows. And for awhile, sheets of water came down the INSIDE of the window.
Above, Stan frolics in the water out the front in the street, after the storm.

My house will actually have guttering! Shiny and new...
The young roofer (known as "Crikey") pulls out the rusting nails at rat-a-tat speed, whilst the older roofer barks instructions from the ground.
The verandah was not included in the deal. :(
But they offered to remove the decayed tin and take it away.
Our next project is replacing the timber verandah, which is basically rotten.

The truck arrives with the colorbond steel for my new roof. The existing roof was rusted and probably 80 yrs old. We have had about 15 buckets around the house, catching rain, for the last year or so. It's been pretty stressful wondering:
a) where the next leak would come from
b) if the roof would blow off, leaving us and our belongings wet and sad
c) the rain water sitting in the ceiling would break through and gush down upon us

I sent the pyjamas to Patus in Melberg, cuz I knew he would be cold. Here, at the top, he models them.
The second photo is self-portrait, Patus in the streets of Melberg.
