Gradually climbing up in the clouds, until we got to the top for the final
breath taking view!

We had lunch in the first one, the Sri Nivassa of the North, (1 &2) - and
delicious it was too!- apple juice in the middle one, and supper and breakfast
in the bottom one.
It looks like the monsoon is starting a little early, no walking up mountain
tops - cafe life is beginning in earnest.
It was really difficult to take, all objects are in glass cases.
A minature painting and an embroidered shawl.
An old lady at the bus stand.
A Buddhist nun getting the butter lamps ready.
Buskers.
Old Tibetans praying around the library.
A mum and daughter watching them.

We've had a feast of Tibetan arts and crafts. All monasteries are beautifully
painted, and we also went to the Norbulingka Institute, where such arts are
taught and promoted.
Here, a tanka in progress outside the library door, and details of the doorway
and porch. Tibetan library, McCleodganj. And a woodcarving in progress.

Laxman said nothing, just watched me, so I knew there was something I was
supposed to notice. There was a strange wooden column next to a concrete one...
In the Dalai Lama's monastery, the trunks of tall trees go through 2 floors to
'blossom' above the terrace. I saw other trees growing in or in very close
proximity to buildings, shaping their architecture.
Here: the same tree goes through floor one and two, but the terraced roof was
out of bounds to see the top.
Another wooded area.
