Our weekend walk in Winchburgh which takes in the union canal and the land fill site is currently rained off as we sit in the car eating various treats at the Greggs drive thru.

Yes it's 3 bottles. No they aren't stuck together. Yes it took a long time to perfect.

The big question is can i make it four in a row? I've won the village best hanging basket competition for the last three years. I've gone for a simple design this year and will it be enough? No competition is without it's politics and scandel and this one is no different but hopefully we'll get through this year without any accusations of nepotism and favouritism.

Got a new book of walks round edinburgh and we did the Poets Glen walk from Collinton and then along the water of Leith. So 1 down 99 to go. The trees were like totally gnarley. The smell was fecund and the colours green and yellow.

Crammond island was the setting for a great punx picnic, a few years ago. Part of a two week european festival of punk in edinburgh.
