On the Bike Trail

In an attempt to get fit we've (finally) gotten around to sorting the bikes
out. 2.87 miles Tuesday night and one hell of a sore arse!

Today I purchased a padded gel seat cover and managed 5.1 miles, Not too

I'm mapping my routes on mapmyrun.comt so i can track my progress. I'm
enjoying it so far!

My entries into Imogen Heap' lyrical competition, "before electric light"
and "the perfect heart lengths away". I don't think I've won but I had fun
crawling around in my dark alley to take these,

Not your average Sunday afternoon.

Today I abseiled down the side of the Fort Dunlop building in Birmingham for
the Stroke Association.

I chose to do it for a number of reasons, My Nan has had strokes, my cat and
rabbit too, but I suppose this is the biggest one:

The research they've funded into the cause and treatment of stroke, and
other brain related injures, with monies raised by events like this means
people are surviving an illness that previously would have devastated lives
and if big events like this had been in vogue 25 years ago and had the money
was available then, they may have been able to save my Dads life.

If you would like to donate now you have seen the proof, visit

and if you need further proof that I made it down all by myself
