still my fave after all these years.
last weekend we left our lovely little shoebox in angel and moved into an equally lovely but considerably roomier place in sunny brondesbury (kilburn).
after a week of living out of boxes and a lot of debate and trawling of diy shops we settled on my original budget conscious but relatively labour intensive design for bookshelves. this consisted of wooden battens along the three sides on the alcove and the shelf firmly screwed down. but will it bend under the weight of the books?
no bend in sight!
the sun sets on a lovely day in the pub watching rugby and eating steak.

the relief of making though that first day is pretty intense. i took this pic of the outside of my new office walking home after my first day in the new job. my desk is in the brightly lit bit in the middle of the left edge of the picture. not a bad spot eh?
so i left EDF where i'd been for just over six years and started at Network Rail the next day. Bit of a shock to the system but OMG check out the view from my desk!

... but still. it is odd to find a copy of your own record in a second hand record shop. wonder who sold it to them?
