Our blog was set up, primarily, for children in school to see what others were up to when off-site. However, after only a few weeks of actually getting pictures on the site the possibilities for inspiring learning are becoming apparent.
We'd already established links with two schools in France but we are now exploring the potential of mutual blogs so that our children can comment and interact with international partners. We're receiving pictures from the arctic from one of our parents and the level of interest in geography is rising withouteven trying. The potential is immense.
It might sound like it but we're not anoraks!
BLOGGING'S GREAT FUN
and, at the same time, a fantastic educational opportunity.

Having a great time, as you can see. Would we rather be here or at school?

Choir sings at Lichfield Cathedral

Wow - what a fantastic performance from our children last night! I was once
again extremely proud to be associated with Heath Hayes Primary School.
Their behaviour was excellent and their enthusiasm for the singing and doing
the actions was astonishing, particularly as some of them are so very young.
I noticed that they even sat beautifully through the organ playing and opera
singing which I have to admit I struggled with and got a bit fidgety.

I think this a fabulous scheme for the children to be involved in and thanks
to Mrs Parrish and her colleagues for "going the extra mile" with this.
What was also of note was that several staff were in the audience who
weren't directly involved but had attended to support the children. What a
fantastic community spirit this school has!

The Labyrinth

Indoor caving experience - not for the faint hearted! Crawling through a dark tunnel with only torches to help you see....... unless you've the bottle to travel the whole passage in the dark.
