I'm saving up for a DSLR, so my friend Grit lent me her Nikon D50 to
play around with. :)
(Yes, I know, I forgot to clean the UV filter, and the ISO setting is
unreasonable. ;))
Taken from my window - won't have that view much longer. :(
... I just need to go and pick up that pot of gold right over there. ;)

Did I mention that this month seriously rocked? :)
Of course I've been seriously sick for the past week - with not just your garden variety cold - so until Monday morning, I wasn't even sure if I could go at all. But I'm so glad I went. :)
Two words: Bloody brilliant. :D
The parade in Mainz consists of about 100 different teams/floats and
is 7 kilometres long. The whole thing takes about 4 hours. Impressive,
huh?
EDIT: I should mention that my friend Olga took these shots, not me.
Mainz is one of Germany's carnival capitals (along with Cologne and Duesseldorf).
Stef threw a party so we could watch the parade last monday from her
balcony on the fourth floor. :)
