Originally from the UK, I am currently living with Spiderbaby in the sub-arctic city of Umeå in the north of Sweden.

Currently I am working part-time on a research project at Norrlands universitetssjukhus and being a stay-at-home dad. At least until the snow clears, then I'll be a pushing-a-pram-around-Nydala-lake dad. In addition I am trying to make my photography hobby pay by making some of my images available to buy from instacanv.as or from me directly.

Interesting things I read recently:

If the London Underground network at rush-hour were a city, it would be the fourth-largest in the UK.

"If someone can work out how to hook up a chocolate bar into a cell phone, that'd be pretty good, because there's about 35 times the energy density in a bar of Cadbury Dairy Milk [than cellphone batteries]". Simon Segars, ARM

I am Pavlovs_dog on PSN and would be happy to link up with PS3-owning mobloggers : )

Too Much Information: The first album I ever bought was the Fraggle Rock soundtrack. Pretty cool, eh? I was only 16 : )

I can see your house from here

You can see for miles from the top of the cathedral tower!

Inside Ely Cathedral

Although we'd visited before, this was the first time we'd had the chance to have a proper look around the cathedral.

It was also a first outing for my new Lumix G3 micro-4/3 camera, which you can see in the bottom pic! :)

Back to Ely

So-called because it (used to be) full of eels. We enjoyed a trip there to visit friends after Christmas.

Darwin is currently in pride-of-place in the main hall. I think it's usually the museum's founder that gets to go there...

It's a nice statue, he looks very thoughtful.

Natural History Museum, London

Spiderbaby had never been to the NHM so we made a trip up after Christmas.

We're having an alien skull-face baby!

I'm so proud! Spiderbaby and I went official after an all-clear 12 week scan. So far everything has gone smoothly. The due date is around the 15th of July, so that's b*ggered up our plans to go to the olympics. Anyone wanna see the badminton?
