More of the Joker and Tim

Spent a very pleasant evening with JokerXL, including a walk down to the beach. We didn't have long on the beach as the tide was racing in rapidly, but Tim obliged with some frolicking in the water, running on the sand and posing for Joker. Looking forward to seeing Joker's rather more professional shots of Tim, but I managed to get a few snaps as well.

Hope we didn't wear you out with all the walking, Joker :)

Wet dog

(viewed 952 times)
Just back from a very wet and windy walk, Tim waiting patiently for me to rub him down with a towel. He doesn't like being wet. The only people in the park today were people walking dogs. Or perhaps I should make that singular because I was the *only* person in the park - apart from two Council workers sitting in their van.

Breakwater

(viewed 921 times)
The Breakwater, Barry Old Harbour, this evening. It was nearly dark so I propped my little Exilim ex-z750 camera on a wall and took the shot with a 15 sec exposure. 15 seconds seems an awfully long time when you're worried about the camera sliding off the wall into the sea!

The Breakwater in Barry is a bit like the Cob in Lyme Regis but not quite so picturesque.

Magical Mystery Tour

I planned a mystery tour for us today. TheOtherHalf had no idea where we were going. First stop was Wentwood Forest, between Newport and Chepstow. Next was nearby Caerwent, where the remains of a Roman town nestle amongst a modern town. Finally, we stopped off in Usk and had a walk along the river.

1) Tim's home from home in the back of the car.
2) A forest road in Wentwood.
3) Bluebells
4) A carpet of bluebells.
5) Exploring the Roman ruins in Caerwent.
6) Tim doing his Bambi impression
7) Tim's favourite part of Caerwent
8) The River Usk

Stepping stones

We went for a little outing today to a little wooded valley called Castle-upon-Alun. Beautiful sunshine and beautiful scenery.
