Progress happens slowly. This probably doesn't mean much unless you knew what it looked like before, but I still have no keyboard on Chuck so no before photos right now. Not that I am going to post those anyway.
I have plans worked out in CAD for extentions to the bookcases to bring them up to below the beam (or ceiling) as I hate it when cases don't go to the top (waste of space, that collects dust.) That tv is temporary- it's moving into the back of the house. Xochizlan has a larger one he wants to put in that spot. The space above it will have offset metal dvd cases from plushpod, eventually. The table is only there temporarily. Eventually, I'll put a chair there and move the table farther in front of the window(to the left of the chair, photo right.) The exercise bike will be moved too eventually as that spot is slated for some storage furniture, but since I'm tired of smashing my toes on it, it's going there for now. The chaise (the thing covered with the colored blankets) is *really* shot, (it's also been cross country about 8 times, and about 25 years old) and at some point will need to be replaced.
Right now I'm working on the windowframe (needs recaulking and painting), windowsill (needs repainting) and radiatior cover (needs a new bolt and to be repainted.)
At some point next week I should be able to put the curtains up. Still need to get outlet and light switch covers.

Eaten not ten minutes after it came from the oven. There's very little left for him to eat for breakfast. Apparently, I make a decent King Cake.
The purple sugar makes parts of it look burnt, but really, it wasn't. It came out just fine. And the monster got King Cake for Mardi Gras. He finished eating at 5 to 12.
I win.
The end.
I didn't have any proper colored sugar around so I made some. The purple kinda looks black in this photo but it really was purple.
I also was out of powdered sugar, so I ground my own to make the glaze on the left (yay for coffee grinders.)
I spent all day in bed with a migraine, so I was way behind when I finally got up. I'd meant to make a King Cake for the monster for Mardi Gras. I didn't have much time left, and it needs two 90 minute risings to make it work.
The Lime Project has raised 94% of its total financial goal. We have 54
calendars (which were overruns by the printer- we've long since sold out of
our original run of 500) that are still available. Although we're almost
there, we're not done yet. So if you haven't gotten your calendar yet, now
would be a good time.
