Parnngurr is located 370 kilometres due east of Newman in Western Australia.
The community is located in the Great Sandy Desert at the southern end of Karlamilyi (Rudall River) National Park.
There are 150 or so permanent residents here, a shop, and one school.

This photo was taken by one of the students at Parnngurr. The students were getting used to how to use the phones - they found the games quicker than they could use the camera function - interesting observation - would concurr with Marc Prensky's theory

Thats right. I've got to shoot up Clexane just to get on this plane into the nether regions of this wild and isolated country. Hurts like a be sting OOOOOOch !
It's me. at home feeling absolutely exhausted. got to catch a plane to Newman and then drive for six hours by four wheel drive into the Parngurr Aboriginal community with phones for a wild moblogging experience. watch this space. it's going to grow with some amazing stuff.
