60mpg

(viewed 1006 times)
Wasn't too hard. A relaxing of the driving style was all it took to go from 40-45mpg to 60mpg. Don't need no fancy (and expensive, and heavy) Synergy Drive or any nonsense like that. Merely a lighter touch on the throttle, and less rushing to get places. It's not a race..

I really must start using km/litre. Legacy units are silly.

"The UK's best selling poultry magazine"

The sad thing is, the first time Rich bought this, I laughed. The second time, I was indifferent. When this one turned up, I was interested to see if there was anything good in it. And there was! (an article about humane slaughter and how best to achieve it)

It's probably only a matter of time until I try to get some of my photos into "Readers Hens" section.

Lemmy meets Lucy

(viewed 1171 times)
This is Lucy, who is staying with Tullis for a week while her owners are on holiday. She was a little overwhelmed by Lemmy's boundless energy, but they got on well enough.

I remember....

...when all this was just fields. So does google, if you look on the map (photo faces due east from map marker).

Now it's just really ugly houses that nobody wants to live in.

bushpig

Tullis came to visit, and brought his crazy petrol skateboard. Lemmy barked at it, but the hens were cool.

is this your car?

(viewed 1170 times)
because that's a disabled space you're illegally parked in, you selfish
fuck.

this annoys me a great deal, as I have mobility issues myself and I know
what it's like to try and find the closest parking space to the shop -
to minimise the pain of carrying heavy (for me, two pints of milk is
enough to hurt) shopping from checkout to car. And then some cunt like
this comes and parks up "where it's handy", to save themselves a few
fucking seconds at the expense of someone else's pain/discomfort. Real
fucking big o'ya, that is.

The more eagle-eyed of you may notice on the satellite map that, some 6 metres from where this photo was taken (ie, just across the road and a little bit east), is a GREAT BIG CAR PARK.

but, y'know, crossing the road. that can take AGES - the traffic in the village is insane at this time on a monday. Oh, hang on - NO IT'S NOT.
