Things. Stuff.

I also have some higher-res photos here, taken with a real digital camera :)

Hypothetical: Like a virtual pub!

My first Sugru hack

(viewed 815 times)
The monitor cable kept being knocked out of the socket on my netbook, so I
hacked it better. The elastic retainer can be tightened and loosened.

BTW, this is the first post from my Nexus One :-)

Mending is better than ending, part 2

(viewed 705 times)
4. After drying overnight.
5. The view from underneath after drying.
6. A bit wonky: will it fit properly?
7. Yes, it will! The completed blender.

We've used it a couple of times since; so far it's holding...

Milliput's a modeller's epoxy putty, hand-workable before setting and workable with tools thereafter; I'll definitely be using it for more repairs after this. It's also available from my local model-train shop for £2.10 for 4oz, so much cheaper than a new blender :-)

1. Before.
2. The unset putty in place.
3. The nut held loosely in place by wet putty.

We were cleaning caramel off the ceiling for days...

Lent decorations

This year, we were determined to get into the proper Lent spirit, and put up some decorations. Confused? See http://qntm.org/lent.

[It was, indeed, the best Lent ever]

Slava Pestov

... exists solely to flip out and kill people. But he occasionally hacks on Factor and wails on guitar. Reading http://pozorvlak.livejournal.com/130614.html may help, but then it might just make you more confused...
