Garibaldi had an expresso. Takeaway folded pizze in
Bologna for the train trip. Two ripe tomatoes.

First time ever I made suet pastry - actually it's
palm fat pastry and wholemeal flour 'cos that's all I
had in stock.
Rag Pie consists of leftovers steamed in a pastry
case. So a few potatoes, a carrot, fried onion,
broccoli stalks and tofu. Amazed myself. Bit of salad
for the healthy bit.

Saw a recipe in OK magazine for a dish called Moutaba
- pureed aubergine with tahini and lemon juice. It's
has olive oil, parsley and paprika on top.

Lovely hot day, and off work as well. Nice big bowl of
pasta with imported Italian ingredients, well apart
from the onion which came from the allotment.

The Margharita - correct size, thickness and toppings.
Last real pizza for sometime. Eaten in Torino.
Didn't buy the beer - too big to fit in the case.

A small item in the chiller cabinet at the local co-op
store in Mercatle village, and the fried version at my
favourite restaurant in Bologna
