“There are no grades of vanity, there are only grades of ability in concealing it”

Mark Twain

Trying out this project thing. See if I can last beyond 24 hours. I sincerely doubt I'll make it through the year.

I'm not always overly fond of my face. So, sorry.

Hanging out in the new kitchen, with Becky-made pizza. Been painting. Still lots to do.

What I wrote on my hand yesterday to remind me to do daily me. Was a bit busy moving stuff. Hardly done anything.

Work zombie. Not too bad today. Except for the workmen at my bedroom
window at 7.45am.

And this:

"Dear Miss Dawson

In response to your concerns over announcements on 'Doctor Who', the
comment in question was a quote from Jane Tranter, Head of Fiction
for the
BBC. A spokesperson advises that Ms Tranter was trying to relay the fact
that all those involved in the making of 'Doctor Who' where very
pleased at
Catherine Tate's involvement in the fourth series.

A related comment from Russell T Davies reflects production team
reaction:

"Catherine was an absolute star in The Runaway Bride and we are
delighted
that one of Britain's greatest talents has agreed to join us for the
fourth
series."

There was never an intention to presume that everyone is a fan of
Catherine
Tate, however we have had significant positive feedback from a large
proportion of our audience about her forthcoming participation.

We hope that we have been able to clarify this matter and that you will
continue to enjoy the programme.

Thank you for taking the time to contact BBC Information.

RegardsAnne Lavan

I was fine with this reply until I reached the penultimate paragraph.
I've just told them that I won't be able to watch the programme any
more, do they not believe me? Are they not listening? Tsch.

My poor (passenger side) wing mirror. I can't see how it can have
been done accidentally (two separate impact marks and no damage
elsewhere on the car, plus it was bent right back). My car's always
parked around the back of my house, it's not like it's parked on the
street. I am quite proud that the glass held up well and they didn't
manage to rip the thing off altogether (I just bent it back, it was
fine). The WhizzGo cars that are parked just a few hundred yards away
are always losing their wing mirrors to vandals. Grrrr. Drunk, chav,
yob, kids.

Felt a bit slack today. I think I have a sty in my eye. It's small,
not visible, but irritating.
