It's that time of year again, where everyone is posting to various blog sites about gearing up, trying to find those last-minute playa supplies.
I've never gone to burning man. The first (lot) of times I declined, it was because I didn't think it could be enjoyed by someone unwilling to use illegal substances. I (think I've) realised my error in thinking that. Then I had to pass because of personal health/ financial reasons.
In 2006, I might be out of excuses.
I've been spending hours and hours researching bits on phone and internet services on/near black rock city. going to continue editing/posting links for my own use, here, I think. (at least, for the next day or so, and then I'll compose an email to send around/ see about more ideas/ if what i'm thinking about is possible.) I just think with cameraphones being so popular, mobloging from the event, live, realtime, would be so, so cool.
