When vanity is clearly not an option.......... crank up the contrast!
Well hello again. I can hear the audible groans now as mobloggers around the world sigh.
Its been 5 years, can you believe it ? since mad Nige got some of us to join him in a daily self portrait, alledgedly for a whole 365 days. So I thought it would be interesting to compare/contrast ( just like an english essay) then and now.
I'm not going to make any grand promises about sticking it out to the end and I'm already wondering whether this is a daft thing to do, but alot has happened in the last five years.
I originally started this along with nige and a few others back in June 2007 and as I discovered it would prove much more difficult than I had anticipated. I enjoyed it all very much and I think at the time my portrait photography got better.

Really starting to get to the end of my tether,...............
Dad had a stroke (some of you know this) which has meant a great deal of driving up and down the A12, a journey I am used to from many years back when I attended Uni at Colchester. Then my mothers only remaining cousin died ( funeral is next monday, so trip up the 'M's to Liverpool); this has thrown her into quite an understandable tailspin. She is traumatised enough that she nearly took tablets prescribed for her last year but which she now no longer needs, but is become confused. Sunday evening we had to take our eldest son to casualty as he had what I believed to be the symptoms of concussion............ he has a minor trauma to the brain caused by a kick to the head whilst involved in a tackle in a football match, he remembers nothing about it. He had to stay in hospital but is home now.
Then yesterday evening the firdge freezer decided it no longer wanted to be freinds with the water filter and they parted company (I thought a bottle of coke had expolded and was fizzing over) in fact water was pissing out of the mains pressured water filter all over kitchen floor, but more worryingly near all the electrics.
What an exciting life I lead!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Sure sign I am well and truely run down..........Look at the SPOTS on my face!
.................................Not smiley I feel.
I could'nt even get the smiley up the right way.
Just as a point of reference these are some kind of potato affair which the kids like:(
